This privacy policy applies to all business processes in État de Hygge , hereinafter referred to as PÆTRIA, due to PÆTRIA`s activities being registered at Brønnøysundregistrene under the same organizational number as État de Hygge Vranjesevic. 

Pætria recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of personal and financial information. We have instituted strict policies and security measures to protect the information you provide us. When you register online with Pætria and submit your customer information, you give us your consent to process and use such submitted personal data in accordance with this privacy policy. This privacy policy applies to all protected personal information collected, maintained or used by Pætria.

Pætria collects personal data from visitors to the website who register their information or who use the online store. We also use “cookies“(as described below) and track IP addresses so we can improve our services and enhance your Pætria experience. In addition, Pætria collects some protected personal information (e.g., name, address, telephone number(s), email address, etc.) from our customers who submit a customer information card from our affiliated companies and, on occasion, from unrelated third parties. Pætria does not collect or store any credit card information from our online customers. To serve you better, we may combine the information you give us with other publicly available information.

If you give us your personal information, then with your consent, Pætria will use this information to keep you informed of our special events or promotions, to register you with our website, to administer our website services, and/or to process any orders you may place online. Otherwise, we may use the information you provide to us only to review our performance and to improve our services to you, or to communicate with you about your order if you have placed an online order.

We will send you announcements or communications by email only if you give us your permission to do so by either giving the appropriate consent on our website or by submitting your email address in any of our stores. In addition, we may use information about your product interests and purchases from us and our affiliates, including without limitation Pætria, to help us improve our site design and your online and in-store shopping experiences. We may contact you, subject to the choices you have made, via email, postal mail, or telephone, to conduct market research and learn more about how we can improve our product offerings. To serve you better, we may combine information you give us and information about your product interest and purchases with information from third parties, including demographic information and information that is publicly available. We may also combine this information with information from our affiliates. We use that combined information to enhance and personalize your shopping experience with us, and to communicate with you in accordance with this policy.

You are entitled to request access to, correction, and deletion of all personal data you provide us, or to remove your name from Pætria´s marketing list at any time by contacting our customer service at hei@paetria.com or mailing address listed in the Contact section of the site.

By accessing and using the Pætria website (including purchasing items through our website), you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this privacy policy. Pætria reserves the right occasionally to make changes to its privacy policy or practices. We will post the updated policy on our website, and thus we encourage you to review this page from time to time, particularly each time you use our online shop. We will notify you of any changes in our privacy policy by posting the modifications on our website.

Pætria does not wish to collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are under the age of thirteen (13), please ask your parents or guardians to register. Pætria requires that you inform and get your parents’ or guardians’ consent before purchasing anything on paetria.com.

Pætria does not sell, rent or disclose our client’s names, addresses, email addresses, or other personal information to any Pætria entity. Further, in order to maintain our website, to manage our database, to distribute emails, and to provide client communications, Pætria contracts with selected third parties. As necessary, these third parties, solely on Pætria´s behalf, may process the personal information you provide to us but we do not authorize any of these service providers to make any other use of your information.

We do not otherwise disclose your information to third parties, unless we are required to do so by law or in connection with a legal claim or proceeding. If Pætria is acquired by another entity or is merged or consolidated, information about Pætria`s customers may be made available to the new entity. However, the new entity will agree to protect the confidentiality of your personal information consistent with this Privacy Policy.

In addition to other commonly used payment options, we also use Klarna as the provider of our checkout in case you yourself choose this as your preferred payment option. This means that we might transfer your personal data in the form of contact and order details to Klarna when the checkout is loaded, in order for Klarna to manage your purchase. Your personal data transferred is processed in line with Klarna’s own privacy notice.

Pætria uses appropriate security measures to protect the information you provide to us. However, while we take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure, you accept that no internet data transmission can be guaranteed to be secure from access by unintended recipients and will not hold us responsible for any breach of security unless this is due to our negligence. No payment or credit card information passes through our servers. Pætria sends out email newsletters to those who sign up for it. The newsletter contains news, offers, and other Pætria-related content.

In order for us to send you newsletters by email, you must register an email address.

The e-mail address will only be used to send out newsletters or to send surveys about the newsletter in order to gain feedback on reader’s needs and what they find interesting.

The e-mail address is stored in a separate database, not shared with others, and deleted when you unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can opt-out by clicking on the link in the newsletter or by contacting us.

The basis for processing your e-mail address in connection with our newsletter is Article 6, no. 1 a, the Privacy Policy, ie. consent.

The data helps us set up remarketing, and gives us the necessary figures on how we can improve our website and engage in strategic marketing. By using our website, you consent to the obtaining of unidentifiable data for analysis purposes.

To carry out targeted marketing, we use Facebook Pixel. This tool collects information about visitors to our website. Examples of information are, which pages have been visited or which actions have been performed. Read more about how Facebook Pixel collects and processes data here.

Cookies are pieces of information a website can send to your computer’s browser for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies to ascertain which web pages are visited and how often, to make our website more user-friendly, and to give you a better experience when you return to the website. We use both first-party and third-party cookies that are anonymized. Some cookies are associated with third-party vendors such as Google, Facebook, Sleek note, and Mailchimp, all legislated to GDPR standards.

For example, cookies allow us to save your password so you do not have to re-enter it every time you visit our site. We also use advertising cookies to deliver adverts relevant to you. In addition, they limit the number of times you see an advertisement as well as helping us measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. However, your visit to our website will be significantly enhanced if cookies are not disabled. Pætria will retain the information that you have provided to us as long as it is necessary for the purposes specified in the policy. Pætria will delete the personal information when Pætria has handled your request, fulfilled an agreement, or when Pætria’s legal obligation is fulfilled, or when you withdraw your consent by contacting us as explained below.

If you have not been a paying customer with Pætria for the last two years, all your personal data registered with us will be deleted. The exception for deletion is for Pætria to be able to fulfill legal obligations such as accounting considerations.

Alternatively to deletion, Pætria can remove identifying information from the personal information so that the information can no longer be linked to you (anonymization). Such anonymous information can be used in Pætria’s archive, to prepare analysis and statistics, and to customize and develop Pætria’s marketing and products according to the consumer’s desires and needs.

The personal information will be stored on Pætria’s own servers and with cloud service providers who support the Norwegian Personal Data Act (GDPR). Pætria will not hand over your personal information to other third parties unless you have consented to it.

You can request information about the origin, scope, and recipients of the stored information as well as the reason why it is stored. You have the right to ask us to correct, complete or delete your personal information and transfer it to another organization. You have the right to request additional information regarding the handling of your personal information. You also have the right to object to our processing of your information where we have requested consent to process your information and the right to withdraw this consent. You have the right to submit a complaint to the supervisory authority, Data Authority.

There are some exceptions to these rights. For example, we may, in some cases, deny you access to personal information if this causes you to gain access to personal information to another person, or if we are legally prevented from disclosing such information. In some cases, we may retain information even after you have withdrawn your consent.

You shall receive help with; access to, receiving, correcting, or deleting personal information stored about you. You may also object to, demand limitation, or withdraw consent to the processing of personal data.
