Inspired by the iconic Chanel jacket, delicate, yet eye-catching, the Maridruna handmade Unique Short cardigan is a true showstopper. The color combination of each of these cardigans is truly unique, as there are no two exactly alike. Therefore you can be sure that you are the only one in the whole world to own a particular model of one of Maridruna’s favorite statement cardigans. Unique is handmade by only one experienced knitter in the Maridruna team, who wields this precise knitting technique. Unique is a short jacket-style cardigan, with padded shoulders.

It takes approx. 5 days to make one Unique Short Cardigan.

Details and Care

60% cotton, 30% wool, 10% (acrylic, polyester, bamboo)

Made in Serbia.

Note that actual colors might vary slightly from your monitor. Additionally, note that  every Unique cardigan is made in a slightly different color combination and no two are alike. 

Instead of washing, air out your woollen garments from time to time. Wash only if stained. We suggest hand-washing our wool pieces in cold water with a gentle, natural soap. We love any organic soap that has little scent, in a small dose.

Submerge your sweater in the water, gently rub any deep stains, and remove quickly. Then, roll the sweater in a clean towel to absorb excess water before laying flat to dry (ideally on an airy surface).

How to Wear It

Wear your Unique with Maridruna Organic Cotton White shirt and a pair of low heel sandals, jeans or a skirt and white t-shirt for a daily attire or simply drape it over your shoulders in combination with a silk dress and heels for a sophisticated evening look.

    Freyja is another sustainable knit from PÆTRIA design`s EVIG collection – hand-knitted and hand-embroidered cardigan, that brings back the slow art of embroidery, luxurious feels of the highest quality Icelandic wool (OEKO-TEX Certified) and unique knitting patterns and details. Freyja is made entirely of one strand of a single-ply fragile Plötulopi unspun wool, resulting in it being exceptionally light and airy, with gently padded shoulders and puffed arms. Just like our Chloë cardigan, Freyja is knitted by only a few experienced members of the amazing team of knitters we work with, that all wield the specific hand-twisting yarn technique required when working with this delicate wool. The handmade wool pom-poms and roses embroidery on this model are performed first after the piece has been knitted and by using several different stitching techniques and thread colors. Freyja takes pride in being both slowly and sustainably designed and created.

    Due to the delicate collar knitting pattern, grid pattern and flower embroidery, it takes up to 9 days to create one Freyja cardigan.
