Born in Argentina, Agustina Bottoni lives and works in Milan. She develops a quite diverse range of projects, from products, furniture, and textiles to installations and window displays, driven by evocative yet refined concepts and the emotional value of design. Bottoni’s practice is divided between self-initiated experimentations and commissions from international brands and galleries—often working in collaboration with Italian artisans. Her works have been exhibited at international venues, such as the Triennale di Milano, London Design Fair, Salone del Mobile, and Maison et Objet. She is co-founder of the design collective The Ladies’ Room.
The striking geometric shapes of Agustina Bottonis glassware recall the Modern architectural gems of Milan, especially the lavish Villa Necchi, designed by architect Piero Portaluppi in the 1930s. Calici Milanesi is also an homage to the Italian city’s most indulgent tradition: the aperitivo. It is an everyday ritual and a well-deserved pause for the busy Milanese lifestyle.
