Wool is biodegradable, breathable, highly versatile, and is typically made from the fleece of sheep. It is considered to be one of the most sustainable fabrics. Wool has antibacterial properties so it does not require frequent washing. It is naturally water repellent, fire-resistant, and long-lasting.

All wool used in PÆTRIA_design collections is certified cruelty-free and was manufactured under the highest standards of GOTS and/or The Woolmark Company, and we also ensure that all our wools are certified mulesing-free. Our signature handmade knitwear collection “Evig” is entirely made of pure wool produced by the Icelandic Istex, which is today 80% proudly farmer-owned and holds the world`s highest animal welfare and quality standards, as well as assuring working conditions that comply with the strict Icelandic laws.

An ode to femininity, fully handmade (yes, the buttons too), praised with an amazing flower-like pattern, slightly puffed shoulders, and a dropping braided pattern at the bottom hem, for an enhanced waist. Fiona is gentle, yet conspicuous, imbued with the allure of simple elegance that leaves no one indifferent. This piece is extremely delicate and lightweight and can easily fit into a purse, so it`s always on hand.

    Due to the delicacy of its fine mohair wool pattern details, as well as the handmade buttons, it takes couple of days to knit one Fiona cardigan.

Our Robe coat is a truly hygge-inducing, full-length, ultimate winter coat, made in dark gray wool, to be worn season after season. The coat has an open design, a detachable waist belt, spacious sleeves, and a voluminous collar that can be lifted for a proper wrapped-up look for cold scandi days.
